Creator Anna Page opens a bottle, sets a table, and lets the evening do the rest.
For Duckhorn Vineyards’ 50th anniversary, we asked Anna to bring to life the idea the winery was built on: a good bottle is meant to be opened and shared. So she poured our 2023 50th Anniversary Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, gathered her friends, and made a dinner worth staying for. Plates emptied. Glasses refilled. The night ran long.
The idea is not new. Duckhorn Vineyards opened in Napa Valley in 1976, and from the start the wine was made for the table, for the meal and the people around it. Fifty years and a lot of bottles later, the wine has grown up and the belief has held.
Some traditions do not need reinventing. A bottle is opened. Friends gather. The evening takes its time.
That is what the next fifty years look like too. Whatever else changes, the best Duckhorn stories will still begin the way Anna’s did: around a table, with no one in a hurry to leave.
